Health and Wellness

On average, people with mental illness die 25 years too soon. At The Centers, we provide services tailored to the person who is first impacted by mental illness and then quite often by other health, environmental, economic and cultural factors. With the expertise of a wide range of providers and specialists, our clients have access to:

  • Counseling
  • Case Management
  • Psychiatry
  • Primary Care
  • Medication Management
  • Pharmacy Services

We also offer wellness groups focused on social recreation, nutrition, fitness and more.

The Centers has a unique opportunity for recently graduated psychiatric nurse practitioners.

We have a Community Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Fellowship led by  Dr. Kate Proehl, DNP, PMHCNS – BC; Director of Advanced Practice Education at the Centers and the 2017 Innovator of the Year, National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Cleveland. The deadline to apply is May 31. 2017. Click here for more detailed information, and to apply.

We believe in meeting clients where they are—figuratively and literally.

The Centers provides services from six locations in Cuyahoga County, offering daytime, evening and same day appointments.  Our staff also frequently provides services in community locations and client homes. Our clients are active participants in their treatment and care coordination plans.

We believe in high quality, demonstrated by our accreditation and outcomes.

The goal of our health and wellness program is to engage clients in the recovery process and help them manage their mental and physical health, while also managing the stressors of daily living.  Services are focused on the individual’s ability to succeed in the community and to identify and access needed services. Clients and staff work together to achieve positive outcomes and stability in housing, health symptoms, hospitalization, connections to others and meaningful activity/employment.

Recovery is possible and can start with just one call to 216-325-WELL (9355).
