WSEM Food Centers

Food is a basic need. And we don’t think anyone should ever go hungry. But more importantly, we also want to make sure that needy families and individuals in our community who are struggling to put food on the table, have access to the right opportunities, relationships, resources and networks to build a better future for themselves and their families.

Our WSEM Food Centers are one of the largest food distributors to families in need on Cleveland’s West Side. We work to fight hunger and provide the resources to allow individuals and families to break out of poverty. With our three main centers, we provide more than 750,000 meals a year and connect more than 14,000 community members to supportive services that can help them find sustainable independence.

Facts about our Food Centers and Offerings:

  • Food Pantries – We offer a three-day supply of emergency food provided monthly to needy families in Cuyahoga County
  • Outreach and Advocacy – We have onsite supportive and crisis services or can refer our families to the proper community resource
  • Food Stamp Application Administered – We work with our families who are eligible for Food Stamps to help them get enrolled so they can receive the supportive resources they need.
  • Resale Shop – We operate resale shops that offer affordable, low cost, gently used or new clothing and small household items.
  • Evening/Hot Meal Program – We serve hot meals to those in need at two of our locations
  • Health Screenings
  • Additional Holiday Food
